Proximo Expands and Endorses Five More House Bills to Advance Affordability, Opportunity, Safety, and Accountability for the Latino Community

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Proximo, a Latino-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the Latino community with the knowledge and tools to shape what's next for our democracy, today announced its endorsement of five more bills in the U.S. House of Representatives that address issues central to Latino families and communities.

The endorsed legislation reflects Proximo's commitment to advancing policies that lower costs, expand economic opportunity, protect public lands, improve aviation safety, and strengthen accountability in government.

“These five bills speak directly to what Latino families are dealing with every day: rising costs, safer travel, and a government that's accountable to the people it serves. Proximo believes that educating Latinos about policy strengthens both the Latino community and American democracy. Through authentic, culturally relevant outreach, Proximo works to combat misinformation and inspire civic participation for a more prosperous and representative future.

  • H.R. 8228 - Stop Global Tariffs Act 

  • H.R. 9167 - Public Lands Integrity Act of 2026

  • H.R. 2353 - Safer Skies Act of 2025

  • H.R. 7008 - Stop Insider Trading Act of 2026 


Together, these bills reflect the priorities that matter most to Latino families, from lowering costs and supporting economic growth, to protecting public lands, strengthening air travel safety, and increasing transparency and accountability in government.
