Proximo Launches Ad Urging Florida Families to Tell Rep. Darren Soto to Continue to Fight to Lower Costs and Stop Corruption in Washington

“Stands up for us” highlights Rep. Darren Soto’s efforts to lower health care costs, protect Medicare and Social Security, and ban congressional stock trading

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Proximo, a Latino-led 501(c)(4) nonprofit dedicated to empowering the Latino community with the knowledge and tools to shape what’s next for our democracy, announced today the launch of a new TV advertising campaign in the West Palm Beach media market urging Congressman Darren Soto to continue efforts to lower costs and stand up for Florida families.

The ad “Stands up for us” highlights Soto’s support for H.R. 82, the Social Security Fairness Act, legislation focused on Social Security benefits, as well as his work to ban congressional stock trading through H.R. 7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act, which would limit members of Congress from using their office for personal financial gain.

The ad urges Soto to continue efforts to bring Democrats and Republicans together to address corruption in Washington and protect Florida families from rising health care costs.
