Proximo Launches Radio Ad Urging Arizona Families to Tell Rep. Juan Ciscomani to Stop Costly Tariffs that are Making the Cost of Living Rise

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Proximo, a Latino-led 501(c)(4) nonprofit dedicated to empowering the Latino community with the knowledge and tools to shape what’s next for our democracy, today announced the launch of a radio advertising campaign in the Tucson media market highlighting the rising costs facing Arizona families, and calling on Congressman Juan Ciscomani to take action to lower costs.
The 60-second radio ad, “Back to School,” focuses on the financial pressure Arizona families are facing as they prepare for the new school year, with rising costs for gas, groceries, clothing, utilities, and health insurance.
The ad highlights Ciscomani’s vote on President Trump’s tax bill and his support for Trump’s tariffs that are increasing costs for Arizona families and putting farming jobs at risk.
The ad urges Ciscomani to support H.R. 8228, legislation that would stop the costly tariffs, and calls on him to stand up for Arizona families.

But back to school shopping looks a little different this year…
Everything is getting more expensive.
Gas. Groceries. Clothing. Utilities. Health Insurance.
And our Representative?
Congressman Juan Ciscomani was the deciding vote on Trump’s tax bill and to keep Trump’s costly tariffs.
Costing Arizonans over two thousand dollars more each year…
Two thousand dollars out of our pockets. Money that we have to magically find in our budgets to provide for our families.
All while lowering taxes for the ultra-wealthy.
Ciscomani’s tariffs not only cost us more money at the grocery store, but they threaten thousands of our farming jobs!
The rich keep getting richer, while we get squeezed.
